That book,
This book
The book that you gave me
Brings a trail of memories
And melts my brittle bones
At the gaze of it
I bring to memory how hard our hearts where bound
The halls behind of our lips wound resound
Every bit of laughter
Every moment there after

When I open its pages
I behold your finger prints
Like an embroidery print embedded therein
And as I feel through the prints
An alley of images flash through my mind
Images of you holding my hand
As we embarked on that escaped
Into the woods bare feet
And there we would play hide and seek

But here i am
Sprawling languorously on this couch
Nostalgia mildly encroaching
While my fingers lie still on the pages
Of this book that enrages every thought of you
This book that you gave me
Speaks volumes and volumes trust me

Dear dear,
As the sun sets behind the brow
I solemnly declare my vow

I steadfastly wait for you on this balcony
Until I conquer your colony

The feathers of my heart soar all over
In search of you my lover

Oh little love beast where art thou?
Is it beneath the river bed?
Because I can risk swimming the crocodile infested Zambezi

Is it at the mountain cliff?
I'm ready to stride through the sharp edges of Kilimanjaro
Be the bow and I be the arrow

This heart is red filled with roses to the brim
And it bleeds with love extreme

My desire for you races at supersonic speed
How glorious You and I together
Like wakanda forever

be my Lady I be you lord
Your Baron and you my baroness

The cravings for you knows no end
Wend your way through my heart
Seal yourself within and append
Together like incense we may ascend
Above all clouds and storms,
All Fears and snares

Bake them thoughts
Garnish the ideas
Spice that life with optimism
Be that heartthrob to your Darling soul

When the dust rises
Soar beyond the clouds
Stroll to the serene ends

Before darkness comes, work
Before morning comes dream
Nurture that lilly in the valley of your mind

Light up the fluorescents in your heart
Ignite the dimmest part of you
Quench not the flames

Stride through the terrestrial terrains
Liberate the colony within
And press on

The wind still blows
The dust still rises
The grass still grows

The wall clock ticks louder than ever before
Because of the silence you left behind
I trail the empty graves for salvation
Only the mounted crosses carres my empty desires
And the rising dust winds wipe my tears
I try to end my lamentations
But this end is where I begin
My heart dances to the tune of sorrow's melody
And the eyes Navigating through your endless generosity
The ecstasy of your smile was an epitome of beauty
Alas! Your flourishing fragrance is now six feet deep
Joy is vanquished, we dance to sorrow's beat

The wind still blows
The dust still rises
The grass still grows
Your picture still in the frame

As you trail the lanes of worlds yonder
The terrestrial shores unknown
I sit painted in ashes and black dirt
Trading myself for memories
Acknowledging your departure
My heart draws cold and cold
The me in me drifts away slowly
Drowning in the depths of sadness
And the heights of despair
As I strike my eye on the pictures framed on the wall
I rekindle the memories
And I wonder how you live over there
Because here:
The wind still blows
The dust still rises
The grass still grows
Your picture still in the frame
And I still dine on rabbit stew
