Let Us Beseech the Throne

Let us beseech the throne with golden eyes,

In search of proud and perfect traits

To mend the hollowed seat of power.

He shall compass us with justice’s revolution.

Our souls uplift the waiting lands,

We come to cast our noble choice,

In sacred trust we raise our voice—

To break the tyrant’s binding chains.

In Greece, the people once implored

A ruler wise, with blessings stored.

Yet democracy arose and stood,

Where lawlessness was once the flood.

Through wisdom’s work, the people rise

To shape the fate of governing ties.

A leader leads as fathers do,

The people follow, strong and true.

Sovereignty becomes the state,

And power, spread among the great—

The organs of the nation’s frame,

Where law and justice bear no shame.
