Cowtail Valentine

Friday came in dancing,

‎With pepper in its shoes,

‎Carrying a steaming secret

‎No hungry soul would refuse.

‎A package like a prophecy

‎Landed in my hand—

‎From our own merry Hero,

‎The kindest in the land.

‎But wait—the real enchantment,

‎The twist in this grand tale:

‎It passed through Queen Bumsy’s pot

‎Before it reached the cowtail.

‎Now in her royal kitchen,

‎Nothing remains the same;

‎Soup becomes a miracle,

‎And pepper earns a name.

‎One spoonful greets your spirit,

‎Another warms your chest;

‎By the third, your wrinkles whisper,

‎“Perhaps we should just rest.”

‎The knees begin negotiating,

‎The back regains its pride,

‎And even tired old slippers

‎Walk with a youthful glide.

‎The pepper shouts, “Attention!”

‎The cowtail says, “Be calm,”

‎Together they compose a hymn

‎That tastes like healing balm.

‎Forget the roses this season,

‎Let chocolates take a break—

‎Give lovers bowls of peppersoup,

‎And watch their cold hearts wake.

‎For in Queen Bumsy’s kingdom,

‎Valentine is no small thing;

‎It simmers in a silver pot

‎Like love with steam and zing.

‎So here’s to the Queen of Cauldrons,

‎Her ladle raised up high—

‎Where love is served in spicy bowls

‎And joy comes floating by.

‎May her pots never retire,

‎May her peppers never fail,

‎And may every Friday end

‎In a bowl of blessed cowtail.
