The Renegade

Panatella on his broad mouth
Oxonian accent locution flushing out hard
Like a rushing Brooks.
From crown to the arch
He was dressed
In a civilized suit.
His circumlocution were punctuated with
Apt witty
You could see it
When he talked
Like those Europeans.
His gesticulations go with the mouth
But our G Man
The chubby African man came from this
Dark continent.
On one corner
He dashed into a canteen
Well known in the country.
The man sat down
And ordered his meal.

"TWO SLICE MURPHIES, FRIED OMELLET.
IF YOU DON'T MIND RAUT MEAL.
AND AGAIN ADD A CHINESE SWIRL".

The steward boy waited patiently
Like an eagle prying a prey.

"AGAIN, I WILL NOT MIND HEINEKEIN, "

The steward boy
One of those local accent replied:
"Oyinbo man I don hear".

"YOU MEAN YOU DON'T SELL HOT DOGS?"

"Oh yes! "

"DAMN IT! WHAT DO YOU SELL HERE?"

The boy smile upon which he muttered :
"We sell amala, foo-foo, eba, towu shinkafa, and pounded yam".
Our G Man looked hurt
And with sotto voce, he said,

"TWO AMALA, TWO EBA AND TWO STRONG
POMOS.
PLEASE, ONE EXTRA BEER. I DON'T MIND
GULDER".

The gentle steward boy said"
"I think the last has just been bought
Please check the next canteen over there".

Our G Man
In his stentorian voice said:
" AMALA TOO NO DEY. WETIN KON DEY?"
He went away with a big shame.

What's the essence of caring if you can't make a difference, just like eggs, we must pass through different stages to realise our chances

Fate is what happens
When the chicks break and crack
From inside to life.
