A BUNDLE

To the world is given a bundle

To be part of existence of humanity

And to be nurtured according to divinity

To grow and choose a part like all others

A bundle of joy is what we all hope for

It is in our hands to groom it

We have a duty in fulfilling it

For truly the bundle is of our own making

We pray it does not manifest to evil

We must act and show the way of good

For good has the tendencies of begetting good

Though evil lurk by in every corners

To whom a bundle is given

To whom a duty is expected

For truly a reward is expected

As such failure must not be allowed

We all must come together

Arise Mothers; Arise Sisters

Arise Fathers; Arise Brothers

Arise the Family; Arise the Community

For truly a child is a bundle of joy

A gift from the Almighty to humanity.

AFRICA

Africa my beloved mother land

The beginning of civilization and prosperity

Suddenly plunged into deprivation and poverty

Africa my beloved mother land

A continent of beauty and uniqueness

Gradually becoming a land of war and nothingness

Africa my beloved motherland

The land of peace and tranquility

Eventually becoming the center of disunity

Africa my beloved motherland

Where herbs and nature were at their best

Finally forgotten for what do not give us true rest

Oh my beloved Africa of yester years come again

For us to behold and uphold what we once attained

The pleasure and joy that you once gave

Is what we all now crave

Africa my beloved motherland, I can’t do without you

Neither can I flee away and abandon you

I will stay and do my utmost best

To ensure you rise to become the best

I enjoined all to rise up and return home

For this task is beyond a soul alone

We must as one rise from the doldrums of neglect

To once again restore what the world couldn’t neglect

We have the power and imagination to think it

We have the talent and the strength to make it

We must never and never doubt it

For if we can conceive it we can achieve it

HUNGER

HUNGER

Turning to the left and turning to the right

The thought that it is still very early in the night

Makes the body wonder if it will survive the night

Stretching and recoiling in a bid to conquer the night

The thought that sleep will not come early tonight

Makes the body becomes weak without delight

A wondering thought flashes back to the mind

The thought could still not be left behind

How today’s hustle have led me with nothing to find

Closing my eyes to force sleep to come

In anticipation of morrow that will come

Peradventure it will become awesome

But the mind keeps reminding me of dinner

For this night wouldn’t be warmer

And reality of hunger can’t just go farer

Hunger has stolen my sleep tonight

This must never happen another night

My resolve to give the coming days a great fight
