I was loved by an Apollo

He was a sun God

He loved fiercely

He lit a fire in my soul and set my heart ablaze

His passion consumed me whole and left my mind in a daze

I was kindling, he was flame; set alight in flashes

I was loved by an Apollo; he was a Sun God and I was burnt to ashes

I have a message for the messenger

Tell Hades its not his fault he fell from Olympus

Tell Zeus he is not a bad king

Tell Hera that sometimes pride gets the best of us

Tell Atlas that even caged birds sing

Tell Ares he will one day find his peace

Tell Apollo his light shines over all of Greece

Tell Eros that his love will never reach Aphrodite

Tell Nemesis to let go of all her spite

Tell Gaia that the best part of the day is the morning dew

But most of all, tell my father that even gods have flaws so I can have them too
