ENVY-THE HIDDEN FLAME

ENVY – THE HIDDEN FLAME

It’s a spirit that haunts even the kindest soul, It creeps in quietly, taking control. It strikes both woman and man the same With silent whispers, it plays its game.

But why can't your eyes stop dreaming? Why do they glisten with constant scheming? Your heart’s a factory of dark designs, Smiling in light, while plotting behind.

You clap for them, but mean them harm, Wrapped in charm, yet armed with alarm. Not just scammers wear the fraud’s disguise Envy can hide in friendly eyes.

Your grin is warm, your hug is tight, But in your chest, it’s envy’s fight. Your friend says, “Babes! I got a new car!” You lie, “I’m happy!” but wish for a scar.

You wish it would crash, explode on the road, As your sweet words hide your heavy load. You beam so bright, all fake and sweet, But inside, it’s envy’s steady beat.

Innocent outside, demonic inside A twisted smile where envy hides. It poisons minds, ruins the bond, Turns care to hate, breaks every fond.

It stains your soul and clouds your grace, Behind that smile, a darker face. One second, it can crash what’s built, And leave your heart drenched deep in guilt.

So, dear beloved, learn contentment’s peace. Let envy fade, let anger cease. Close your eyes to what others own, And tend with joy your garden grown.

Let your gaze beam, not burn with greed, Let kindness grow and plant good seed. Be modest, honest strong in mind, And let your heart be pure and kind.

You can achieve, you can have more But not with envy at your core. Your time will come, your light will rise, Divine and clear beneath the skies.
