AFRICA

The cawing of the crows

The barking of the dogs

They remind me of a place

Not so far; yet so distant

A place I call home

Where we soak in the Morn’s dew

And we leap after the frogs

And we nod with the lizards

Where the sun shines bright

And bright the sun shines

With the free flowing river

Beneath the huge Iroko canopy

I am reminded of Africa.
